What does simplicity mean to you? To us, it means focusing on what really matters most to you, your family, and your happiness. We want to help simplify your life and make it easier to manage with all of life’s ups and downs. It’s all about incorporating more of what you love, and less of what you don’t. That goes for the clutter in your home, the load on your mind and the stress in your life!

Here are our favourite ways to simplify your life and home with 4 easy steps:

  1. Simplify Your Wardrobe

Simplifying your wardrobe does not mean throwing out half of your belongings. This means creating an organized system, and taking a critical look at the items in your possession. Ask yourself if each item in your closet really means that much to you. Is that ripped shirt worth saving? How about those jeans that are no longer your style, and haven’t been for some time? If they are just taking up space in your closet, it’s time to ditch them!

  2. Simplify Your Kitchen

This is all about simplifying your kitchen to increase the functionality of your day to day life. Ditch the clutter in your pantry, tackle the Tupperware mountain in your cabinets and cut down on any redundant appliances. As well, keep things clean and tidy by paring down what you have on your counter. While your margarita maker is indeed fun, if you don’t use it every day, it shouldn’t sit on your counter (but if you do, it deserves that prime counter real estate!). We can help you create custom cabinetry to better keep things organized in your kitchen. Call us today!

  3. Simplify Your Routine

Having a routine is known to reduce stress and anxiety. Start your day with easy tasks like making your bed, sipping your coffee and reading a good book, or doing some yoga. Simplify your routine for other tasks, such as cleaning on the same day once a week or doing little bits each day, or by meal prepping lunches and dinners every few days. The goal is to keep your tasks from getting overwhelming.

  4. Simplify Your Mindset

We all get that feeling where sometimes we are weighed down by our daily stressors, and we get ourselves in a funk. Taking care of ourselves and our mind is of the utmost importance. Each day, find something that you can do that is entirely for the benefit of your wellbeing and to reduce your mental load. This can be as simple as meditation, an evening walk in your neighbourhood, or disconnecting from technology.
