The Atmosphere
In recent years, the bathroom has been upgraded from one of the most underrated rooms to the room transformed into a home spa focused on your relaxation. Your bathroom is your retreat at the end of a long day, not just to get clean but also to decompress and rejuvenate.
The Bathing Experience
The one-piece tub and shower is a thing of the past, and single function shower heads are yesterday’s news. We are seeing that showers are often much larger, steam showers are becoming more popular, and multiple types of showerheads and sprayers like rain showers and body jets are making more of an appearance. We have also continued to see that freestanding tubs are being invited back into the home over built-in tubs.
The Colour Palette
In the past few years, we have seen the colour palette for bathrooms move towards bright, light colours that invoke the feelings of a spacious, clean, and relaxing bathroom. We see this in one of our most recent projects with Sheri of Get it Together. A natural and organic look is trending for bathrooms, and our wood grain finishes such as Sand Gladstone Oak and Natural Halifax Oak are a great fit.

The Toasty Warm Flooring
We have certainly come a long way from the carpeted bathrooms of our forebearers. Continuing to focus on comfort and relaxation, heated flooring has become increasingly popular in bathrooms, especially those with tile flooring. Luxury vinyl plank is another fabulous option for bathrooms that can provide the look of a natural wood floor without the water-related issues.
The Fixation on Fixtures
Fixtures no longer blend into the bathroom with the limited colours of brushed nickel and chrome. More striking colours and finishes have become available for your faucets, handles and lighting fixtures, including champagne bronze, rose gold, oil-rubbed bronze, copper and matte black, that really complete the custom look of your stunning bathroom.

The Environmentally Friendly Focus
Environmentally friendly features, low-flush toilets, and low-flow showers have become more important and prevalent now than they were 15 years ago. Indeed, where they were once an afterthought, they have now become the standard, along with energy-saving features such as LED lighting.
