Hidden Kitchens
Open spaces continue to be a popular trend in 2020, and as a result, kitchens are starting to look less like the traditional kitchen and more like the surrounding living spaces. We are beginning to see more appliances that blend into the cabinetry rather than stainless steel, and cabinets that look more like furniture. Many kitchens are incorporating handle-less cabinets for a seamless look, floating shelves instead of upper cabinets, and some kitchens have no upper storage at all!

2. Colour
Colours are persistently popular in kitchens and not just with cabinets but with appliances as well. Manufactures are getting into this trend and releasing coloured appliances. Shades of blue and green are very trendy and can give your kitchen the unique style you’re looking for.

3. New Metal Finishes
Manufacturers continue to push the envelope with new metals, and we couldn’t be more excited. Dreamy rose gold, striking matte black, and elegant champagne bronze are a few of our favourites! Incorporate these daring metals into your cabinet handles, faucets, light fixtures and more. The sky is the limit!

4. Technology
Introduce your family to a Smart Kitchen for 2020! With the latest technology, you can control almost anything in your house right from your phone, and soon that will include the appliances in your kitchen. You will be able to order groceries and search recipes right from your refrigerator, and let it remind you when food is about to expire. Smart device charging stations are also becoming an integral part of kitchens in new and innovative ways.

5. Bye-Bye Boring Backsplash
Subway tile will always look classic, but today’s kitchens feature more interesting backsplashes that are anything but boring! Manufacturers are consistently testing the limits and coming out with bold and enthralling new styles. Let your kitchen be a perfect reflection of your style.

Engineered materials, such as those that mimic the look of real wood, are moving to the forefront of design.
